"I can see in your eyes the toll of the war. You strike us. We strike harder. On and on…"
―Queen Adrialla of Eiram, to Captain Xiri A'lbaran of E'ronoh[1]

TheEiram and E'ronoh War,[7] also known as theEiram–E'ronoh war,[8] was a conflict fought between theplanetsEiram andE'ronoh. The conflict involved several wars between the two planets, which was why it was also referred to as theForever War. The latest incarnation of the war was fought[1] between387 BBY and382 BBY.[3] TheSpiral-class Viz-Core Evisceratorstarfighter model saw action during the war.[7] The peoples of Eiram and E'ronoh would not settle their differences, entering into acold war, until the aftermath of theEiram–E'ronoh crisis.[2]

The war[]

War of 387 BBY – 382 BBY[]

Beginning[]

TheMonarch of E'ronoh doubled down on the war again after his sonNiko A'lbaran died on a diplomatic mission toEiram. The Monarch thought that his son was killed by thethe queen of Eiram which was not true as his son had drowned in a tragic accident. Also the E'roni's believed that Eiram stole their colony on theTimekeeper Moon which further increased the tension between the planets.[1] TheBattle of Salamento Bridge was fought at one point.[4]

Effects of the war[]

Because important trade routes went through theEiram system, several worlds dependent on imported food were beginning to starve as the war made the trade routes in the Koradin sector, including the Lipsec Run, unusable. The planets ofSump andShuraden requested aid from theRepublic for this exact reason. The Republic conducted extensive remapping and cleared the hyperlanes of pirates who tried to collect their spoils of war twice to reestablish a lifeline for the starving systems again.[1] TheHutt Clan profited greatly from the war.[9]

The war also caused one of E'ronoh's few allies,Merokia, to cut ties withE'ronoh and not fulfill their promise of relief and decreased the off-planet marble contracts of E'ronoh drastically. ThePath of the Open Hand arrived on E'ronoh at least and secured new followers from young citizens who wanted to avoid the draft.[1]

Even though the war never reached Eiram's capital in the form of fighting, surrounding towns were attacked which eroded the infrastructure ofErasmus. Eiram's population was hit hard by the effects of the war as food and water had become scarce goods. Additionally the environment suffered heavily during wartime. The many beaches of Eiram were often stained with oil and fuel that leaked from downed ships. Surrounding greenery was burned from explosions and dwellings were in disrepair.[1]

Out of desperation Eiram's queen Adrialla made a bargain with The Mother for food, fuel and medical supplies. When she did not uphold her end of the bargain though, The Mother sent one of her Children to threaten her into fulfilling her promise.[1]

Ceasefire effort[]

"You think that matters? You think the people of Eiram care about what those trumped-up royals have to say about any of this? For years they asked us to fight their battles. To sacrifice our loved ones—our husbands, wives, partners, and children—on the altar of their glorious war. And we did so, willingly. We followed them to hell. We pledged our very existence to their cause. And then, one day, just like that, they tell us to lay down our weapons. That the fighting is over. That there will be no more bloodshed. As if everything that had gone before could just be forgotten. As if we could simply accept our losses and move on. Be friends with the people who killed our loved ones. Perhaps even marry them… No one came and asked us about peace, Creighton."
Lian Cerox, to Jedi MasterCreighton Sun[5]

Five years after the war reignited, a new attempt for a ceasefire was made. Though theThe Mother tasked one of herChildren,Serrena, to manipulate one ofThylefire Squadron's starfighters which was supposed to be flown byXiri A'lbaran in hope of breaking the ceasefire and prolonging the war between the planets. Although the sabotage operation was successful and caused a skirmish between Eirami and E'roni forces, the ceasefire ultimately held.[1] Path memberShea Ganandra suspected that the Hutt Clan was involved in getting peace talks to that point, reasoning that theHutts wanted to take advantage of post-war rebuilding as they had taken advantage of the war itself.[9]

The Path's interference with theeffort to sign the treaty on the neutral moon ofJedha resulted in the conflict exploding into active warfare again with theBattle of Jedha.[5] In learning the Path of the Open Hand's role in engineering the war, which it hoped to use to create chaos it would thrive within, the peoples of Eiram and E'ronoh united against their common foe and entered theBattle of Dalna together.[6]
