AsSenator ofNaboo, Amidala mainly carried the long-barrel version of the blaster during the period leading up to and during theClone Wars. Behind the scenes[]

Ultimate Star Wars cites the weapon's manufacturer asMerr-Sonn Munitions, Inc., although also credits it as aSoroSuub ELG-3A. InLegends material, the blaster was a SoroSuub spin-off of the Merr-Sonn product, theQ2 hold-out blaster.Star Wars Encyclopedia: The Comprehensive Guide to the Star Wars Galaxy, released byDorling Kindersley onNovember 19,2024 confirms SoroSuub as the manufacturer. It also confirms that the blaster comes in both a short and extended barrel variation. This rendered the short-barrel model being identified as the Q2 hold-out blaster inGadgets and Gear andBuild the Millennium Falcon 62 as obsolete.
