Plot summary[]
Recentprivateer activity onCosmohaul Shipping results in a Cosmohaul executive having the idea to hire cheap mercenaries to guard their shipment. The mercenaries are hired onto theArgent Lady, aCargo Empress-class super freighter captained byXalto Sneerzick tasked with hauling a group ofR5-series astromech droid.
Unbeknownst to them, Sneerzick and his crew are secretly part of theDroid Abolitionist Movement and upload anemancipation virus into the droids in hopes of causing them to break their programming and become independent. However, a malfunction in some of the R5 causes them to revolt against their liberators and kill theArgent Lady crew.
The mercenaries then have to escape the newly arrivedCutlass, anImperial Patrol Ship demanding that the ship power down for a 'routine inspection.'
