TheDataSearch Engine 12C-A, also known as theTerexComm Executive, was a datasearching device manufactured byTerexComm. It could be used to searchcomputer systems for specific information, and could search thousands ofdata screen units in less than three seconds. General searches, such as "stormtrooper" yielded thousands of results; specific search strings such as "stormtrooper garrisons in theYartexx quarter" would return more accurate results.

Unlike theDataSearch Engine 9C, the 12C-A did not function with the addition of apower condenser. When the modification was tried, the device often shorted out.
