Classic Star Wars was an expansivecomic book series published byDark Horse that re-released severalStar Wars comics of theoriginal trilogy era, including the dailyStar Wars strip byArchie Goodwin andAl Williamson, as well as several fromMarvel'sStar Wars series of the '70s and '80s. The entire series was published from1992 to2003.

The original strips were edited and retouched, while some continuity repetitions were removed in order to form a seamless narrative. Minimalist coloring was added to the black and white drawings by Russ Manning, as the traditional four-color comic book feel fit better with his classic artwork.[4]
