Cargo containers were storage units designed to hold cargo during transit. They were often labelled with the word "CARGO" inAurebesh writing.[1]
During theBattle of Christophsis, cargo containers were used to store vital supplies forSenatorBail Organa's relief effort onChristophsis. These supplies were originally intended to be delivered to the surface by theRepublic's prototypestealth ship, thus bypassing theblockade around theplanet. Instead, the stealthship attacked theenemy'scommand ship first, and was able to destroy it after several skirmishes. With the blockade broken, the ship delivered the cargo containers and their contents to the surface.[2]
