Themobile command center was a type of base that theConfederacy of Independent Systems utilized during theClone Wars against theGalactic Republic.
C-9979 landing crafts had a complement of one mobile command center, and for theSeparatist Droid Army's operations onMaridun andFelucia, thelanding crafts' mobile command center contained within its walls a singleSeparatist command center, which was overseen byB1-series battle droids.
Characteristics[]
The mobile command bases were walled outposts that were large enough to house a singleC-9979 landing craft, aSheathipede-class transport shuttle, a singleSeparatist command center, as well as threeArmored Assault Tank Mk Is, severalB1-series battle droids,B2-series super battle droids, andDSD1 dwarf spider droids, while still maintaining enough space for cargo.[1] A single mobile command center was stored aboard a C-9979.[3]
History[]
Weapon tests on Maridun[]

A mobile command center was used on Maridun.
In21 BBY,[4] during the Clone Wars between theGalactic Republic and theConfederacy of Independent Systems, Separatist forces under the command of Neimoidian GeneralLok Durd traveled to theOuter Rimworld ofMaridun in hopes of finding a world suitable enough to test theDefoliator, a weapon developed by Durd. The Neimoidian and his forces, after arriving on the planet and ransacking avillage ofLurmen, proceeded to establish acommand base on Maridun.[1]
Durd's base was later infiltrated byJedi GeneralsAnakin Skywalker,Aayla Secura,Jedi CommanderAhsoka Tano,Clone CommanderCC-5052 andClone CaptainCT-7567,[1] who had previously crash landed on Maridun after their losses at thebattle of the planetQuell,[5] where they sought to steal a ship from Durd. Entering the base, theJedi andclone troopers proceeded to destroy all droids stationed around the base's perimeter, before the group found twodeflector shield generators and commandeered Durd'sshuttle, where they subsequently returned to the Lurmen village in hopes ofdefending it from the approaching Separatist forces and the Defoliator.[1]
Reinforcing Felucia[]

Separatist forces used a mobile command center on Felucia.
Later, on the planetFelucia, theT-series tactical droidTZ-33 utilized amobile command center.[2] During theSecond Battle of Felucia in20 BBY,[6] theKaleesh Separatist GeneralGrievous dispatched a C-9979landing craft to reinforce thetactical droid's forces, however, the base was later taken by Republic forces led by Generals Skywalker,Plo Koon, andCommander Tano, with all droid forces destroyed as a result.[2]

The mobile command center first appeared in "Defenders of Peace,"[1] the fourteenth episode of the animated television seriesStar Wars: The Clone Wars'first season, which originally aired onJanuary 23,2009.[7]
