TheBattle of Nym's Factory Compound occurred inNym's Factory Compound onLok in1 ABY.

Background[]

Thedroidbounty hunterIG-88 had set up production of droids for itsdroid army in the compound and a group ofspacers came to shut things down.

The battle[]

"Keep in memory buffers that my factories can produce unlimited droidekas such as these!"
―IG-88[4]

As the spacers entered the compound, a number of explodingB1-series battle droids confronted them in the entrance, but were defeated. The spacers pushed on and faced down two waves of four golddroidekas. The spacers then faced a serious threat, from giant B1s equipped withflamethrowers, toMSE-6-series repair droids that targeted their artillery barrages. Eventually the spacers prevailed again and defeated the droids.

The spacers had a final showdown with the IG-88 droid commanding the facility, which was armed with ablaster and a flamethrower and fought ferociously. Ultimately though, it was defeated and the factory was shut down.

Aftermath[]

The remains of the IG-88 droid were presumably recovered and repaired by IG-88's droid army, as all four IG-88 droids were known to have been sighted at later dates.

  5. Theopening crawl ofStar Wars Galaxies:An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events ofStar Wars: Episode IVA New Hope, and additionally,Serji-X Arrogantus, whodied inStar Wars (1977) 10—the events of whichThe New Essential Chronology dates to0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion ofStar Wars Galaxies must be set in thatyear. Furthermore, in the gameRuwan Tokai references thedestruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, andStrongholds of Resistance also places the events ofGalaxies'Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in1 ABY. Lastly, whileChapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features theBattle of Hoth—dated to3 ABY byThe New Essential Chronology—the developers havestated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events ofStar Wars Galaxies must span from 0ABY to around 1 ABY.
