Thesiege of Deko Neimoidia was fought during theClone Wars in19 BBY, prior to the fall ofCato Neimoidia and around the time of theOuter Rim Sieges.

The battle[]

Towards the end of the war, theRepublic forced theTrade Federation out of its purse worlds in theColonies, sending theNeimoidians fleeing to theOuter Rim Territories.Deko Neimoidia, one suchpurse world, was invaded by theclone troopers of the22nd Air Combat Wing, led byJedi General Roan Shryne.

Commander Cody andJedi Generals Obi-Wan Kenobi andAnakin Skywalker were part of the assault on the Trade Federation's citadel, and they were able to use the floorplans of the fortress to the Republic's advantage in their laterattempt to capture Nute Gunray. Theclone commandos ofIon Team also participated in the battle, and General Shryne earned the respect ofCaptain Climber, the team leader who later saved Shryne's life.

Deko Neimoidia fell along with Cato andKoru Neimoidia, eventually leading the leaders of theSeparatists to set up headquarters on the Outer Rim worlds ofUtapau andMustafar.
