Atgar SpaceDefense Corporation, known asAtgar, was the manufacturer of anti-vehicle weaponry and defense systems. Many of Atgar's products, such as the1.4 FD P-Tower, emphasized power over efficiency. Due to their low cost and obsoleteness, they were often found deployed by theAlliance to Restore the Republic during theGalactic Civil War,[1] but the weapons were generally low-powered and not as powerful as the weapons in use by theGalactic Empire.

Atgar was known to use theFD number system to categorize its military units. Despite being aspace defense corporation, a certain number of Atgar'sblaster cannons were fitted onGX12 Hovervans.
