Airo, originally known only by the numberAR-9771, was aclone trooper who served in theGrand Army of the Republic during theClone Wars. He waskilled inbattle while fighting against theSeparatist Droid Army onAbrion Major[3] around theyear22 BBY.[2] At thetime of his death, Airo had just adopted his name and was serving in the212th Attack Battalion under the command ofJedi GeneralObi-Wan Kenobi andClone CommanderCC-2224 "Cody." Kenobi attempted to save theclone, but Airo implored hisgeneral to leave him and survive. He tried to say "May the Force be with you" to Kenobi, but died before he could finish theJedi phrase.[3]
