TheInvincible was aProvidence-class Dreadnought andcapital ship that served in thenaval forces of theConfederacy of Independent Systems during theClone Wars as theflagship ofHarch SeparatistAdmiralTrench. In22 BBY, theInvincible served as thecommand ship of the Confederacy'sblockade of theplanetChristophsis, where it and theblockade werecontested by aGalactic Republictask force led byJedi GeneralAnakin Skywalker. The Republic was unsuccessful in its initial attack, as theInvinciblebombarded the entire task force and forced them to retreat, thereby giving Trench and his flagship the first victory. Not long after, however, theInvincible was assaulted once more by Skywalker, who used a prototypestealth ship against it. As a result, after a lengthy battle with thedreadnought, Skywalker, aboard thestealth ship, managed to defeat theInvincible by sending its owntracking torpedoes into its bridge, resulting in the vessel's destruction.
Later, during thetime of theGalactic Empire, the modules that belonged to theInvincible were salvaged by Imperial defectorBerch Teller. After acquiring the parts, Teller supposedly used the dreadnought's modules to construct adownsized version of aProvidence-class Dreadnought, which was laterdestroyed by Imperial forces near the region known as theGulf of Tatooine.(Read more…)Below are some of the current community projects happening around Wookieepedia.
