Cinda Tarheel was aHumanfemale from theplanetSocorro who served theRebel Alliance as apilot during theGalactic Civil War. Fast-talking and quick-shooting, she often made rash combat decisions and only survived due to her superb reflexes. In3 ABY, Tarheel was part of the Alliance'sstarfighter complement atEcho Base on the world ofHoth, when theGalactic Empire discovered the base andattacked.Nala Hetsime in asnowspeederpilot's chair and Tarheel as thecraft's reargunner jointly made upRogue Seven, flying in the makeshiftRogue Groupagainst ImperialAT-ATwalkers in theBattle of Hoth. The Rogues' efforts bought the Rebels enoughtime to evacuate the planet.
Later in theyear,Captain Tarheel was stationed onArbra at the Alliance'sHaven Base, and she joinedCommandersLuke Skywalker andBerl on amission to make contact with theSerps of the planetSerphidi. She landed herX-wing fighter safely on the planet despite receiving anengine-disabling shot from ImperialTIE fighters, but a raiding party led by the Serps' tyrannicalKingS'Shahkilled Berl and took Tarheelcaptive. After learning that her fate lay on thecannibalistic King's dinner plate, Tarheel attempted to escape fromCastle S'Shah but was held steadfastly by her captor. Only when Skywalker defeated S'Shah in the Serps' annualDoom-Joust competition was Tarheel released and freedom restored to Serphidi.(Read more…)
