The planet's population, which includedhumans, inhabited ancient citadels. In4 ABY, theTIE fighter pilots of theGalactic Empire's204th Imperial Fighter Wing were ordered to increase the severity of the planet's storms withexplosives as part ofOperation: Cinder. Theattack led to the devastation of the planet and thedeaths of its inhabitants.
In the genocide's aftermath,MajorSoran Keize of the 204th convinced ImperialpilotYrica Quell todesert the Empire; Quell joined the fledglingNew Republic, although with a partially falsified story of her defection.
