ROMLEX documents the Romanilexicon. It gives users an opportunity to consultmaterials in different dialects of Romani, and toobtain translations into different languages.

ROMLEX is not a Romanidictionary in the usual sense.ROMLEX is a lexical database.It contains data that are representative of the variationin the lexicon of all Romani dialects, and offers almostcomplete coverage of the basic lexicon of the Romanilanguage. At present, data are available online coveringmany Romani dialects. These are accompanied bytranslations into English and, depending on the Romanidialect, into other European languages as well. Byproviding an electronic resource of the highest quality,which can constantly be updated, theROMLEX database can serveas a foundation for future dissemination of Romani literaryresources and Romani language literacy itself.
