Thissetlists page was first compiled in June 1999, with subsequent updates andrevisions made in 2006 and 2014. This isa freshly researched version of the page and supersedes the previous editions.
In nearlyall cases, the source of each listing comes from my own personal audiocollection which accounts for almost all the available shows since 1969.
Where theinformation is unavailable or the shows not completely recorded, I havereferred to the following sources for information. Some of them occasionallydiffer from each other in information and accuracy but they have been aninvaluable help in crosschecking sources and are all highly recommended.

Thesetlists are compiled on a year-by-year basis and in sub-sections for each tourleg for easy reference. There are alsoseparate sub-sections for each decade showing a list of all concerts and analphabetical list of songs performed in each year. Separate pages are listedfor TV guest appearances which featured a live performance (lipsynchedappearances are not included), radio sessions and miscellaneous non-tour liveperformances. For the latter category, where such a show has taken place duringa tour (eg the Pepsi corporate gig in Hawaii in January 1998), it is simplylisted as part of that tour. Similarly a concert which was recorded fortelevision or radio but which was not a guest appearance on a show is alsolisted as part of that tour (eg, the MTV ‘Live at The Ten Spot’ concert inOctober 1997 is listed as part of the 1997 tour whereas the band’s guestappearance at the VH-1 Fashion Awards the same month is listed in the ‘TVappearances’ section. Don’t worry, it’s not as complex as it sounds!).
Otherpages will detail debuts and last appearances of each song, sources used forofficial live releases (audio and video) (only complete songs are listed),cover versions performed live, songsthat have never been performed live, data regarding the number of shows playedby the various line-ups and shows (since 1969) that have still not circulated(as far as is known) amongst collectors.
Obviously,in a 62-year career consisting of over 2,283 concerts and numerous TVappearances, there will be a few gaps. Ican’t claim that these listings are definitive. For the period prior to 1969,there are very few circulating recordings and hardly any eyewitnesses have keptnotes of what songs were played. For shows since 1969, where the setlist is notknown or incomplete, I have stated this. In some cases, I have indicated whatmay have been a probable setlist based on other setlists for the period.
Andthat’s where you readers come in! Any corrections are welcome and if anyone canhelp with missing lists (or recordings) I’ll update the list and give credit.
