Packaged versions¶

You can download itfrom the Python Package Index. For installation of packages fromPyPI, we recommendPip, which works on allmajor platforms.

Under Linux, most distributions include a package for Pygments, usually calledpygments orpython-pygments. You can install it with the packagemanager as usual.

Development sources¶

We’re using the Git version control system. You can get the development sourceusing this command:

gitclonehttps://github.com/pygments/pygments

Development takes place atGitHub.

The latest changes in the development source code are listed in thechangelog.
