PlayStation Premiere: Tekken 6 Going Online

Home version to follow arcade version by less than a year.

With Virtua Fighter 5 going online on the Xbox 360, PS3 fighters must be wondering when they'll get a chance to experience a true next gen fighter via network play. BandaiNamco provided the answer at today's PlayStation Premiere event in Tokyo.

According to Impress Watch, the company announced at the event thatTekken 6 will, like Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection Online, feature online combat. The online play will be just part of a variety of new modes that will feature in the home version.

And when will that home version arrive? The arcade version isn't due until later this year, but once that's out, PS3 owners will have to wait less than a year for the home version, BandaiNamco confirmed.
