FISP: Local Law 11 Report
DOB, in partnership with engineering firm Thornton Tomasetti, releases the first-ever report using evidence-based building science to recommend improvements to the current façade inspection requirements. The report findings highlight areas that could potentially reduce the need for some sidewalk sheds without negatively impacting public safety.Buildings After Hours Schedule
DOB borough offices will be open the first and third Tuesday of the month from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Staff will be available to answer questions and provide needed information to homeowners, tenants, building managers, and small business owners.Worker Wallet Card Implementation
Beginning July 1, 2025, full implementation of the Worker Wallet card is in effect. The Worker Wallet will be the ONLY card accepted on NYC jobsites for the following worker qualifications:- Mast Climber User/Operator & Refresher
- Climber/Tower Crane Rigger
- Periodic Gas Piping Inspector
- Rigging Supervisor
- Rigging Worker
- Supported Scaffold Installer & Remover
- Supported Scaffold User
- Suspended Scaffold Supervisor
- Suspended Scaffold User
The Worker Wallet card does not replace the SST card, the SST card must still be presented. Validate the Worker Wallet card with the Training Connect app on Google Play or the Apple App Store.
Industry Meetings & Live Q&A Sessions
Industry Meetings: DOB hosts monthly in-person industry meetings for RDPs and Class 2 Filing Reps at each borough office. The meetings provide an opportunity for industry professionals, with business before DOB to interface with borough staff with their questions and concerns.

Live Q&A Sessions:Property owners, RDPs, Licensees, Filing Reps, and other registrants can register to join our bi-weekly online Q&A Sessions to ask job-specific questions about DOB NOW and BIS filings, or general questions about permits, Codes, sign-offs, certificates of occupancy, etc.
