NATURALLY THEY will wait until
ratings resume on the major
metropolitan stations, but Network
Ten would not need to wait too long
before putting to the public the re-
cently made documentary on pop
group Kiss.
The special, produced by Steven
Priest, was made during the con-
troversial groups' Australian con-
cert season late last year.
If there's too long a delay, it
could well become a question of
"Kiss who?"

THAT MUCH-TALKED about visit
by The Love Boat crew to Australia
for filming of a local episode would
mean a big coup for the Nine net-
work. On the other hand the visit
may well coincide with the Logie
Awards night and that could only
be a big help to Ten.
POSTCARD FROM Jack Thomp-
son reveals our top export in the
performing arts was really given
the star treatment with Breaker
Morant opening in key centres
across the US.
Australia's top money-making
film opened to great response for
the holiday season in Hollywood
and New York with all the raves we
have come to expect.
As you read this he'll be involved
in The Graham Murders being shot
in New Zealand and from there re-
turns home to play the role of
Clancy in the Michael Edgley movie
based on Banjo Paterson's The Man
From Snowy River.

AFTER A TRAGIC 1980 which saw
her marriage break-up and the
death of her mother, I am delighted
to say things are really looking
good for the lovely and talented
Debbie Byrne.
Eighteen-month-old daughter
Arja is now her constant com-
panion and the former Young Tal-
ent Timer is starting the year
strongly with the release of a new
album on the Mushroom label.
Debbie will also be gracing our
screens via the Don Lane andi? f'
Walsh shows.
