A N interesting outcome of the return to favour of .
xl costume pictures and biographical subjects is
the decision of several studios to bring to the screen
the lives, loves, and music of great composers.
(JOLUMBIA'S monumental pion

ber,'' a story of Chopin and his

ist field. Producers have been
quick to take the cue.
M-G-M has appointed director
Clarence Brown to handle "Song
of Love," the romantic story of
concert pianiste Clara Schumann

One of the greatest real-life love
. stories among musical circles of
the time ;(mid-19th. century), "Song
of Love" will-feature the .music of
the contemporary, ^composers,"
