upon Alderman G. C. Gollan by tile people
of Auburn.
Hie was the only nominee at thile special
meetlng palled on Tuesday night to elect
the )layor for Anubrn for 1925. Natur
ally, there was no closely contested bal
lot.
The rtetirng tayor (Alderman Rlt
chle) gallantly congratulated Alderman
Gollan on his ascesluton to the layorpl
ebalir. He felt that Alderman Gollan must
be proud to be elected as Mayer unon|
mously.
"Sine tills council was returned, I apln
pleased to say that every time the
Mayor has been elected unanimously. I
wish you every succeuss, and I feel confl
dent that the aldermen will support you
in every possible way, in what they con
sider the best interests of tile municipal
Ity. In congratulating you, I feel con
fldent that you will carry out your duties
In a way creditatle to yourself, and to
the best interests of thie municipality,"
