Richards is hoping for his second major award of the 2010 season |
Wigan duo Pat Richards and Sam Tomkins and Warrington's Adrian Morley have been shortlisted for the 2010 Super League Man of Steel award. The award honours the player who has made the biggest impact on the league season and has been given each year since 1977. The winner is decided by a ballot of every Super League player who each cast three votes in order of preference. The award will be presented on 27 September at a dinner in Manchester. A number of other awards, including coach of the year and young player of the year, will also be given on the night. Tomkins is the reigning young player of the year, Richards topped the try-scoring, goal-kicking and points-scoring charts in 2010 and won the Rugby Writers player of the year award, while Morley has had a consistent season in helping Warrington retain their Challenge Cup title.
