Sharp joined Doncaster from Sheffield United for £1.15m in 2010 |
Doncaster's top scorer Billy Sharp has told BBC Radio Sheffield that he needs surgery on a hernia problem. The 25-year-old striker is hoping that the operation can wait until the end of the season so that he can reach the 20-goal milestone. "The problem is causing my groin to tighten up which means I can not move as freely," said Sharp. "I only need to get five more goals [to reach 20] but I am struggling to make games at the moment."
