Sharp recently turned down a move to Burnley |
Doncaster Rovers have confirmed the club record signing of striker Billy Sharp from Sheffield United. Sharp, 24, has accepted a three-year contract after the two clubs agreed a fee of £1.15m on Monday. It has been revealed that the transfer has been paid for by the club's directors, and is in addition to manager Sean O'Driscoll's budget. Sharp scored 15 goals in 35 appearances during a loan spell at the Keepmoat Stadium last season.
