Candice Bergen (b. 1946) is an actress who won five Emmy Awards for playing the lead character in the sitcomMurphy Brown. The daughter ofEdgar Bergen andFrances Bergen, her other credits includeMiss Congeniality (withSandra Bullock),Sweet Home Alabama (withReese Witherspoon), and appearing as a regular onBoston Legal.
