matplotlib.markers#
Functions to handle markers; used by the marker functionality ofplot,scatter, anderrorbar.

Note that special symbols can be defined via theSTIX math font,e.g."$\u266B$". For an overview over the STIX font symbols refer to theSTIX font table.Also see theSTIX Fonts.
Integer numbers from0 to11 create lines and triangles. Those areequally accessible via capitalized variables, likeCARETDOWNBASE.Hence the following are equivalent:
plt.plot([1,2,3],marker=11)plt.plot([1,2,3],marker=matplotlib.markers.CARETDOWNBASE)
Markers join and cap styles can be customized by creating a new instance ofMarkerStyle.A MarkerStyle can also have a customTransformallowing it to be arbitrarily rotated or offset.
