Those disciplines are good against anyone using the same arts. Jeet Keen Do and Muay Thay stylists make short work of them.

Thats really a bogus thing people say. Karate is very useful in general. Muay thai is great but its not the be all emd all of the martial arts world

One of the best UFC fights of all time, Goerge St. Piere, a Shotokan Karate expert

To quote Bruce Lee... "I do not fear the man who practices a thousand kicks, I fear the man who practices one kick a thousand times." In short, if all you learn is one art you can be ranked in that art but ignorant to 3 dozen others. Still, being a grandmaster of a single style has it's merits, being adept at a dozen reduces reaction time. Take it from someone who has sparred and trained for forty years.

I study Karate. Ive also done muay thai, a bit of Judo, a bit of Eskrkma Arnes,

Ive heard so many martial artists favour muay thai over others. Its definitely valuable, but in no way is it superior to all other forms of martial arts.

Theres a ton of value in Karate, Tai Kwan Do, Hopkido.

In my opinion the best balance of martial arts would be one standing martial form and one ground. Jiu jitsu and Hopkido, or jui jitsu paired with any other form. Jui jitsu and Karate pair really nicely.

Ive also seen judo and Karate pair incredibly nicely.

Hopkido and karate and Tai kwan do all have a lot of great perks that compliment each other.

Personally as much respect as i have for muay thai, id worry a lot more about someone who has a more diverse background. Id never want to fuck with someone who knows jui jitsu. Id definitely never fuck with someone who knows hopkido. I e fought a few people with a Tai Kwan Do background, and as a Karate background, those styles really counter each other well

Can you think of any martial artists that are better than Colleen?

Thats not what Bruce lee meant by that Quote.

Bruce lee meant there is more prowess in masterin one movement than being sampling many.

Another way of saying this quote is "a Renaissance man is a jack of all trades but a master of none, id rather be a master of one".

Hence why I ended up teaching commando sambo in the military, instead of aikido.

Better than Colleen...

Unenhanced- Silver Sable, Fah Lo Suee, Heather Douglas (Moondragon). But most are enhanced and that list is a mile long... Mostly because they have been legitimately fighting longer against more skilled opposition.

I like Colleen though. Her and Misty make a tight unit.

Same. Can expect no less from the Daughters of the Dragon.

What do you think?
