Lost Creek Llamas began in 1985 and since 1986 has been located the same 20 acre farm along the banks of Lost Creek, south ofDexter, Oregon.
It's been 39 years since we bought our first llama, and we are more convinced than ever thatllamas complete our existence.
We have focused heavily on llama welfare from the beginning, includingdeveloping llama-specific natural handling and training techniques, preventing and assisting rescue throughfree llama behavior consultation, and sharing sound, humane, and honest information about llamas and llama care.
Ourbreeding program for high-performance, energetic and athleticClassic llama backcountry companions consists of the very best animals we could locate that were available for purchase over a span of more than 30 years. We have been increasingly pleased with the results — and so are the select few who've been fortunate enough to pass muster as the new caretakers of the llamas we've so carefully produced and trained.
We cordially invite you to browse through our website, get to know about our llama friends, get the straight scoop on a few sacred subjects, and glean information — some of which you aren't likely to find anywhere else.
