All,I'm pleased to announce the first alpha release of the new 1.2libtheora, codename 'ptalarbvorm'. This is the referenceimplementation of the Ogg Theora video codec, hosted at Xiph.Org.Things are settling down with the new code and we're ready for widertesting toward an eventual 1.2.x stable release. So please downloadit, try it with your applications and other code, and give usfeedback.Significant portions of the code have been rewritten, improving bothperformance and quality. New in this release is assembly optimizationfor the ARM platform (including routings for armv6, neon, edsp andmedia extensions) and the TI C64x+ DSP chips, including the dsp in thepopular mobile OMAP platform.
