KizunaAI is a virtual being and artist who works under the theme "I still want to connect with you, to understand who you are." Debuting in 2016 as a pioneer of virtual YouTubers, she broadened her reach through multi-talented activities but entered an indefinite hiatus in 2022. After three years of dormancy, she resumed her activities on February 26, 2025, seeking new forms of musical expression. Prior to her hiatus, her sound was anchored in Japanese internet dance music. In this new stage, while cherishing those roots, she blends indie sounds, band elements, and J-pop sensibilities to introduce a new form of J-pop to the world.

「それでもつながりたい、あなたを知るために」をテーマに活動するバーチャルビーイングにしてアーティスト。2016年にバーチャルYouTuberの先駆者として誕生し、マルチタレント活動を通じて活躍の幅を広げるも、2022年に無期限活動休止。3年間のスリープ期間を経て、音楽を通じた新たな表現を求めて、2025年2月26日より活動を再開した。休止前は日本のインターネットダンスミュージックを軸としたサウンドを展開。新たなステージでは、そのルーツを大切にしながらも、インディー・バンドサウンドやJ-POPのエッセンスを融合し、新しいJ-POPの形を世界へ提示していく。
