Two seater cantilever monoplane Trainer , F/F 22 Apr 1925, 2 built
developed by Junkers Flugzeugwerke in Dessau by Zindel

Historical Background:

The T29 was an experimental aircraft for the new Junkers double wing (patented in 1921 DRP Nr. 396 621) flap system. This flap system was later used at theG38 and theJu52. A very new feature of the T29 was the arrangement of the seats. Instead of putting the two seats behind each other, in the T29 both seats were arranged beside each other. A metal belt structure was constructed above the cockpit for pilot's safety, which gave the aircraft the nick Name "Flying Iron".

Just two aircraft were built, one with the Junkers L1a, the other with the Junkers L1b engine. Both prototypes took place at the German Round Flight 1925.
