While the M11 and M12 were large scale engines, Junkers intended to develope also a small oil engine with theM13 and theM14 in 1909. These two engine designs were initial steps toward the later aircraft engineFo 2 of 1916.
Like the M12, the M13 was a Tandem engine with fuel injection and electrical ignition system. The two pistons had a diameter of 100mm and a lift of 200mm. With 2kg/PS the engine was dimensioned for 15kW with further extensions to 37kW and 150kW.
As both designs seemed to be very complicated, Junkers decided to stop further design work in late 1909.
