Junkers EF132 Jet Bomber

During the Junkers Ju287 development the question of a sufficient aircraft size of a Jet bomber was raized. Wocke studied several aircraft sizes and wing allocations with larger Jet aircraft in 1944/45. Initially Wocke picked up the Junkers Ju287 design and raized its size by 75%. The aircraft should have been powered by six Jumo 109-012 of which four were mounted under the wing and two were mounted aside the Forward fuselage. Windtunnel Tests and the construction of a Cockpit mockup was already finished, when the U.S. and Soviet troops occupied Dessau in April 1945 and the work was stopped.
Under Soviet Management Wocke's design was designated asJunkers EF132in 1946. In September 1946 the whole Project was transfered from Dessau to Russia. As the Jumo 109-012 was still not available and no adequate Russian engine was available, Wocke reconstructed the EF132 to a back swept wing design. The original Dessau design with the Forward swept wing was called EF132A. while the new Russian Approach was called EF132B. For the Russian EF132B Wocke also picked up the wing integrated engine layout from the Horten Ho229. This design later became typical for Russian aircraft designs. But the EF132 programme was stopped before the construction of a prototype began. The EF132 was theFinal Junkers-Dessau developement.
