Several students were studying here whenNearly Headless Nick andJustin Finch-Fletchley were attacked by theBasilisk.Harry Potter had left the room before the attack and, because of that, he became one of the suspects of opening theChamber of Secrets.^[1]

1994[]

By 1994, students may have stopped using this room, as, on at least one occasion, study took place in theGreat Hall, overlooked bySeverus Snape,Camelia, and several other faculty members.^[2]
