History[]
Towards the start of the1992–1993 school year atHogwarts,Ron Weasley beganvomiting slugs after his attempt tocurseDraco Malfoy backfired due to hisbroken wand.[2] Slugs were also found in theHogwartsDungeons in a room named theSlug Pit.[3]
At some point, likely during the1993–1994 school year, a black slug crept onSeverus Snape's glass jar, which contained amole inside.[4]
At the end of the1995–1996 school year,Draco Malfoy,Vincent Crabbe andGregory Goyle were said to have resembled giant slugs after having beenjinxed andhexed by severalDumbledore's Army members, after they tried to attackHarry Potter on theHogwarts Express.[5]
