This book had been around since at least the1890s, sinceSophronia Franklin owned a copy and it was a book recommended byProfessor Weasley for her advanced students.[4]
This book was used by students atHogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Students at Hogwarts used this book in their third, fourth, and fifth years, to further their study in Transfiguration. A copy of this textbook cost twoGalleons at theFlourish and Blotts Bookshop inDiagon Alley.[1][3]
