Thistransfigurationspell (incantation unknown) was used toconjure chairs out of thin air, usually for the purpose of providing seating for people.

History[]

At the1993Christmas Feast atHogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry,Albus Dumbledore used to spellnon-verbally to conjure a chair forSybill Trelawney in theGreat Hall.[1] Dumbledore used this spell again on12 August1995 to conjure two armchairs for himself andArabella Figg during theDisciplinary hearing of Harry Potter inCourtroom Ten.[2]

InDecember 1995,Minerva McGonagall non-verbally conjured three chairs forHarry Potter andRonald Weasley in theHeadmaster's Office following theAttack on Arthur Weasley in theDepartment of Mysteries.[3] InJanuary1996,Arthur Weasley used this spell to conjure several chairs for hisfamily and friends are they were visiting him inSt Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries.[3]

On30 June1997, after theBattle of the Astronomy Tower,Poppy Pomfrey conjured a single chair for Minerva McGonagall in theHospital Wing.[4]
