Hi,{{ preferred_name }}
!
🖥️ I'm Sviat — a serial maintainer of and contributor to open source software. 👨💻
🌄 By day, I'm a Principal Software Engineer atAnsible Core Engineering team. 🌅
🌇 And when the sun goes down, I maintainCherryPy andaiohttp. 🌆
You may find my drive-by contributions to random projects I happen to use.
Also, I wrote the initial version ofGitHub Pages deployment provider for Travis CI 😳
Nowadays, one of my main passions is automating away boring routines to bring back the fun of human collaboration. Mechanical tasks must be done by robots! 🤖
To facilitate this, I'm developing a Python framework for writing GitHub Apps and Actions calledoctomachinery 🐍
Besides that, I've made a few GitHub Actions to facilitate these goals:
- https://github.com/marketplace/actions/alls-green#why
- https://github.com/marketplace/actions/checkout-python-sdist
- https://github.com/marketplace/actions/ansible-test
- and many more...
Among projects I maintain sporadically, there are these:
As an owner of theaio-libs organization, I work on the CI, packaging, infrastructure, bots and onboarding-related activities, focused on enabling others maintain projects under our umbrella.
I'm a member of thePyPA where I maintain thepypi-publish
GitHub action mentioned earlier and thePython Packaging User Guide, participating in the ecosystem discussions, document reviews and enabling the contributors to improve the content, including providing versions of the content translated into people's native languages. I also occasionally contribute to the pip, setuptools and warehouse projects.
Another project I co-maintain ispip-tools that is hosted under a collaborative maintenance organizationJazzband.
[!TIP]
If you want to bring my attention to a pull request I lost track of, please submit an issue asking to
review it viahttps://github.com/webknjaz/review-requests.
I also like mentoring other people as well as learning from experiences and then sharing them. If you got to this page because you are familiar with some of my work, you know what to do 💰
Disclaimer: I don't currently plan to turn this into for-profit work with commitments so please only send money if you enjoy what I already do and don't expect any sort of special support. Not because I don't like helping people (I do! Love it!) but because I simply don't have the mental capacity for this sort of thing.
In the future, though, I would love to try out having pair-programming session plans or something involving code reviews and mentoring, but not yet...Interested? Email me.
Have a nice day y'all ❤️
P.S. If you'd rather send 💰 outside of GitHub, I've also got a Liberapay page:
