I am a MSc student located in Austria, however I am originally from Australia.

I have started a Rust crate calledRustQuant which is a library for quantitative finance tools. There is a lack of Rust crates dedicated to this field when compared to the support in languages likeC++, such as the well establishedQuantLib.

The goal ofRustQuant is to increase the use of Rust in the quantitative finance industry overall, as it is a good language for tackling many problems there.

Any sponsorship money will go to getting more people involved in writing/contributing to the library. This could include things such as:

Direct payments to people for contributions to the library.
Website fees if enough interest is evident.
Education fees for courses (online or similar) if needed by contributors.
Simply paying for time spent contributing.
