Primary thing we lose with this change is our org.opencontainers.imagelabels. Seebuildpacks/community#101 forefforts in the community around this. Perhaps hold on this for now?

https://github.com/paketo-buildpacks/image-labels can be used - still a bit of duplication and the image size is still 220MB instead of 27.1. |
