Yuedong (Donny) Chen is currently enrolled as a Ph.D. student at[Monash University](https://www.monash.edu), under the supervision of Prof.[Jianfei Cai](https://jianfei-cai.github.io) and Prof.[Tat-Jen Cham](https://personal.ntu.edu.sg/astjcham/). Hisdoctoral researchrevolves around the inferenceandmanipulation of3D scenesthrough the utilization of2D data. He is particularly captivated by the rapid advancements in the 3D computer vision community in recent years and finds great pleasure in contributing to this field.

Previously, he was a Research Assistant at[IMI NTU](http://web.archive.org/web/20200812205019/https://imi.ntu.edu.sg/Pages/Home.aspx), where he honed his research skills under the guidance of Prof.[Jianfei Cai](https://jianfei-cai.github.io) and Prof.[Tat-Jen Cham](https://personal.ntu.edu.sg/astjcham/). During this period, his research focused on enhancing emotion recognition by incorporating human prior knowledge.

He also interned at[Lenovo Research (Beijing)](http://research.lenovo.com/webapp/view_English/researchField.html), collaborating closely with[Dr. Jianfeng Wang](https://jianf-wang.github.io/personal/).

His academic journey began with the completion of both his MEng and BEng degrees at[Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU)](https://www.sysu.edu.cn/sysuen/), where he majored in Software Engineering. Additionally, he also spent a semester as an exchange student at[National Chi Nan University (NCNU)](https://www.ncnu.edu.tw/?Lang=en) during his BEng studies.
