FreeCAD is a general purpose feature-based, parametric 3D modeler forCAD, MCAD, CAx, CAE and PLM, aimed directly at mechanical engineeringand product design but also fits a wider range of uses in engineering,such as architecture or other engineering specialties. It is 100% OpenSource (LGPL2+ license) and extremely modular, allowing for veryadvanced extension and customization.FreeCAD is based on OpenCASCADE, a powerful geometry kernel, features anOpen Inventor-compliant 3D scene representation model provided by theCoin 3D library, and a broad Python API. The interface is built with Qt.FreeCAD runs exactly the same way on Windows, Mac OSX, BSD and Linuxplatforms.

Installingfreecad from thefreecad/label/dev channel can be achieved by addingfreecad/label/dev to your channels with:

conda config --add channels freecad/label/devconda config --set channel_priority strict

Once thefreecad/label/dev channel has been enabled,freecad can be installed withconda:

conda install freecad

or withmamba:

mamba install freecad

It is possible to list all of the versions offreecad available on your platform withconda:

conda search freecad --channel freecad/label/dev

or withmamba:

mamba search freecad --channel freecad/label/dev

Alternatively,mamba repoquery may provide more information:

If you would like to improve the freecad recipe or build a newpackage version, please fork this repository and submit a PR. Upon submission,your changes will be run on the appropriate platforms to give the reviewer anopportunity to confirm that the changes result in a successful build. Oncemerged, the recipe will be re-built and uploaded automatically to thefreecad channel, whereupon the built conda packages will be available foreverybody to install and use from thefreecad channel.Note that all branches in the conda-forge/freecad-feedstock areimmediately built and any created packages are uploaded, so PRs should be basedon branches in forks and branches in the main repository should only be used tobuild distinct package versions.

In order to produce a uniquely identifiable distribution:

• If the version of a packageis not being increased, please add or increasethebuild/number.
• If the version of a packageis being increased, please remember to returnthebuild/numberback to 0.
