GUI won't run#613

I'm on EndeavourOS and KDE Plasma. I installed auto-cpufreq from the AUR and installed/started it in the terminal. But the GUI won't run. The app icon shows for a second or two and then disappears with no error message. There were some 'fail' messages on first install (python?), so I uninstalled/reinstalled, no fails the second time. I couldn't find any other posts describing this. Any tips on tracking down the problem?

Tagging@MusicalArtist12 as a AUR maintainer.

My guess is the .desktop files didn't copy from the AUR build. They need to because packaging Python for arch Linux is weird.

i'm curious, try runningpython /usr/bin/auto-cpufreq-gtk

Same thing happens. No output. I tried Python alone, it starts.

Just updated to the latest. Though I'd report that the GUI is still not working.

does this happen if you use the installer provided by this repo? if so, then this might be a larger problem...

As for me, I've only ever installed it with yay from the AUR.

Try using the installer provided by this repo/as documented in the readme (not with yay), and let me know what happens

Followed instructions, and GUI now starts. Thanks! (Sure prefer the convenience of the AUR, though.)
