Fast, reproducible and transparent – making Bioinformatics research as accessible as possible.
The Bioinformatics Gateway,in collaboration with theInternational Society for Computational Biology (ISCB), will enable researchers with a designated venue to publish a plethora of research content related to all areas of the broad subject. The philosophies of accessibility, speed, reproducibility and transparency are prevalent across the bioinformatic community, and these are reflected in the approach F1000Research has taken in the publication of this research.
Bioinformatics ranges across a spectrum of research topics, and this Gateway is open to publish outputs across all elements of this, including Systems Biology, Proteomics, and Transcriptomics, among a number of other designated Gateway Areas.
This Gateway should act as a useful resource to both emerging and established researchers in the field, with the range ofarticle types offered by F1000Research facilitating the dissemination of work as openly and quickly as possible through case studies, data notes, method articles, study protocols and software tools, as well as research and review articles. Each publication will undergo fully transparent post-publication peer review following the F1000Researchpublication model.
If you are interested in contributing an article to the gateway, would like to propose athemed collection in a subject related to the gateway or otherwise have any questions, please get in contact with us viaresearch@f1000.com.
