Sense of time cycle based on counting of moon phases emerging not long after sunrise to differentiate between each solar cycle of similar tropical daytime lengths,[1] but has been mostly displaced withlā byDavid Malo's time. Similar patterns found inMaoripō andTahitianpō.[2]
