Some argue that the difference between the formsnag- andnaga- is that of aspect and not formality, where the former is to be used as the complete aspect, and the latter as the progressive aspect. Most grammatical literature, however, does not support such aspectual distinctions, referring to these forms as variants of one another.[1][2] This goes in line with the practical use of the prefixes.
