what is the difference between aunty and auntie as I have spoken to someone when I asked if is was a 'y'or 'ie' and she stated that 'ie' is plural?

Any ideas please

Both "aunty" and "auntie" are valid alternative spellings of the same word recognized by the Oxford English Dictionary, the Collins Dictionary, and others. The plural spelling of both "aunty" and "auntie" is "aunties".O'Dea (talk)01:29, 16 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
