Dnipro
Formerly, the more common English name of this river wasDnieper. Following the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, nearly all Western media began adopting the Ukrainian form of the name. Alternatively, the name can be used to distinguish the lower stretches of the river through Ukraine, as opposed to its upper reaches in Russia and Belarus.
