This occurs if link target consists of a single wikilink, which should instead be entered in the conventional manner without link brackets. For example,{{l|en|[[foo]]}} is the same as{{l|en|foo}}, and{{l|en|[[foo|bar]]}} is the same as{{l|en|foo|bar}}.
This also occurs when link templates are nested inside each other unnecessarily: e.g.{{l|en|{{l|en|foo}}}}
